Skills Up School is a modern school of drawing and digital graphics. Our goal is to foster a new competitive generation of artists, and for this it is necessary not only to teach skills, it is also important to nurture taste and the ability to think outside the box, to know completely different approaches to solving problems and to communicate within the community. Since 2013, when the school was established, we have trained more than seven thousand students around the world. Our curators are experienced practicing artists who love their craft, are deeply involved in the educational processes and are attentive to the needs of students. Before starting training, we conclude a public offer agreement and guarantee the quality of the services provided.

All curators teaching at Skills Up have an art education and work experience in well-known companies; they are game developers, illustrators, 2D, 3D artists in various fields. They also regularly undergo additional training and often become students of courses themselves — this allows not only to improve skills, but also to see the program and the learning process from the inside.

Come to sketches, master classes, trial lessons and lectures! The schedule of events is published on the website in the section "Events": https://skillsupschool.ru/events/ Sketches take place every week in St. Petersburg and Moscow. There are several formats of sketches: nude (male and female), portrait, staging in costume. The principle is simple: you come to our school with your materials and make sketches from life. The average age of a Skills Up student is from 17 to 30+ years. But there were cases when students aged 12 studied with us.

All express courses, all Basic level courses. If you need additional consultation, write to our managers, and they will help you choose a course according to your skills.

Offline learning is divided into two semesters: September–January (5 months) and February–July (6 months). You need to sign up for offline semester courses in advance. If there are vacant seats in the groups, there is an opportunity to join the training within a month after the semester starts. Group online courses start regularly — the schedule can be clarified with the managers. You can sign up for individual online courses at any time.

The result of each semester, regardless of the level, is designed projects for your portfolio. At the end of each semester, the student receives a certificate of course completion and a discount on further study at Skills Up in any course. And also — a lot of additional materials for independent study.

The student chat is not only an opportunity to find like-minded people, but also to show your works, portfolio, get feedback, ask for advice and even find a job: sometimes we publish vacancies there from partners, and students — from companies they work for.

It's hardly advisable: we advocate an approach where you receive feedback from a mentor, because it's much more efficient and faster to achieve results. You can be sure: the program of the online course differs practically in no way from the offline format — it is just as rich, informative and useful. There are nuances for each format: for example, on the offline course in 3D, the final project is a life-size character model. On the online course — a portrait (bust) of the character. But sometimes students, if they have free time and desire, make the character completely even online. The program provides additional tasks, so you can get the maximum out of the course.

Express courses. Express is short online courses in each direction: Sketching, Photoshop for the artist, Procreate for the artist, 3D graphics express.

Intensives. Skills Up intensives take place every year in early August in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and online. The duration of one intensive is 5-6 days.

An intensive is a great option for those who want to try their hand or quickly improve a certain skill. You will create a finished work for your portfolio, try the desired direction, and participate in a cool creative movement.

The number of training materials is different — it depends on the course. You can clarify the number of materials in a specific course with our managers.

It depends on the learning speed of the student himself: some need six hours of classes in the studio, others do something at home.

There are two options for the offline course schedule: \t\

Once a week for six hours (the first or second half of the day on weekends, there is a lunch break)\

An online course lasts on average 3-4 months — it depends on the training format you choose (group or individual). An offline course lasts 5-6 months. There is no difference in the skills acquired, but there are more project works in offline that you can put in your portfolio. Also, in offline, the curator sits рядом, and you receive constant feedback right during the lesson. Online is convenient because you can study from anywhere in the world. Online you have more freedom to plan your study time — you determine the convenient days for classes and workload yourself.
