Book illustration: The first page
In three weeks, you will go from the text to the finished book project. Take Little Red Riding Hood, a familiar story that allows you to focus on visual solutions.
About the Course
Book illustration is not about beautiful pictures. It's about the ability to tell a story visually: choosing the right moment, building a narrative rhythm, working with plans and space so that the reader does not notice the artist's efforts — only feels the story.
In three weeks, you will go from the text to the finished book project. Take Little Red Riding Hood, a familiar story that allows you to focus on visual solutions. You will analyze the structure of the book, create two characters, draw a storyboard of 6 scenes and bring one illustration to the final.
By the end of the course, you will not have a set of individual drawings, but a complete book project ready for display.
