All the curators who teach at Skills Up have art education and work experience in well-known companies, are game developers, illustrators, 2D and 3D artists in various fields. About the Course

Imagine: your works are not just technically accurate, but such that they attract the eye, evoke emotions and clearly convey an idea. No more doubts about how to put everything together — you will confidently manage the composition. In 3 months and 8 practical projects, you will turn abstract concepts like dynamics, structure of the drawing and interaction of forms into specific tools. This course is a recording of Azat Nurgaleev's marathon, which allowed us to make the course as affordable as possible in price, but without loss in quality — you get a proven program and valuable feedback from curators in an asynchronous format.

What You Will Learn

Analyze and apply: you will learn to see and understand how key compositional rules (rhythm, structural connections, grid, force lines, interaction of masses, scale, statics/dynamics, contrast/nuance) work in the works of masters and your projects. This is your key to consciously creating images, not intuitively.

Control the viewer's attention: you will master the techniques of creating a clear compositional center, выстраивания hierarchy of elements and directing the gaze where needed. Your works will be easy to read and accurately convey the замысел.

Convey emotions through composition: you will understand how lines, shapes and their arrangement affect the mood of the work. You will learn to consciously choose compositional solutions to evoke the desired feelings in the viewer – energy, calm, tension.

Work with different harmony systems: you will freely master not only the "Golden Section", but also other effective approaches (diagonals, triangles, symmetry/asymmetry). This will give flexibility to create balanced and expressive works in any style – from a character to a landscape or technique.
