About the curator
"The main thing is not to kill the desire to go further."
★ I graduated from the faculty of design of the architectural environment at the Ulyanovsk School of Culture and the faculty of culture and art (specialization — costume design) at Ulyanovsk State University.
★ I worked as a graphic designer, illustrator, fashion designer, embroidered portraits with beads, taught drawing at a private school, participated in city, regional and international exhibitions.
★ I improved my skills in courses on 2D graphics at Skills Up School.
★ I worked as an art lead in game development for 2 years.
**How did your creative path begin?**
Since 2007, I have been actively participating in exhibitions in the hope of joining the Union of Artists, but at some point this ceased to be relevant, and I was captured by monumentalism in the form of wall paintings.
Since about 2015, I have been nurturing the idea of working in game development. I didn't decide for a long time, but in 2021 I decided to take several courses in Skills Up in 2D. After training, I immediately got a job in a local game studio.
**What is a great learning outcome for you as a teacher?**
A great result for each student is individual and depends on the starting point. Therefore, motivation of the student for further development is much more important to me.
Not everyone comes with high skill, there are students who are holding a pencil in their hand for the first time, and the main thing here is not to kill the desire to go further.
**Tell us about the most interesting project you have worked on.**
One of the most memorable projects of recent times is the board game "Herring". It has already gone on sale, you can find it on a well-known marketplace.
I also unexpectedly received a large-scale order for bead embroidery. I have loved beads for a long time, it is a small embodiment of my huge dream to engage in mosaic.
This order is dear to me because I have not touched physical materials for two years, immersing myself completely in the virtual world of 2D. But I really wanted to do some more embroidery, and then this happened!
