About the curator

"For me, drawing is always about a story that's alive in my head, with its own color, atmosphere, music, smell."

★ I studied at Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Construction, but after the third semester I realized that I liked drawing more than designing buildings.

★ I completed training at Skills Up School — all levels of 2D graphics and a course in Digital Painting.

★ Since 2018, I have been working freelance with foreign clients — I have been drawing illustrations. I worked as a concept artist for characters at Mack Software.

Why did you choose architecture at first?

— I adored drawing since childhood — I was that child who draws on the walls when my parents don't see. But in my family, everyone worked in specialties related to mathematics and physics, so I studied at the physics and mathematics school in high school, and the thought that drawing was serious didn't arise.

Why did you decide to teach?

— I am very inspired by students — their ideas, skill growth, bright eyes. Sometimes it seems that not only students learn from the curator: for me it works both ways. I am charged with the endless motivation of my students, and pictures... have you ever seen how they grow in a short time?

What do you like to draw?

— I like to tell stories, be it props, interior, character or environment. For me, drawing is always about a story that is alive in my head, has its own color, atmosphere, music, and smell.
